South Florida has long been considered the successor to Atlantic City as the desired gambling destination on the East Coast of vacationers. The area is now closer than ever to that coming to fruition.
Back over the past ten years, Donald Trump has bought up hotel properties in South Florida. With Trump being a visionary, one can only assume that what he was hoping for is drawing ever so near.
Governor Crist has signed a compact with the Seminole Indians, and their is already talk that politicians will void that deal by allowing expanded casino gambling across the state.
The compact Crist signed gives exclusivity to the Seminoles. Any expanded gambling in the state would nullify the compact. For now, the tribe is making strides towards offering expanded gambling.
The Seminole Coconut Creek Casino has unveiled new Vegas style slots on Wednesday. The Hard Rock Casino already started offering the new slots in January.
The tribe is also ready to go on a mission to find dealers, 3,650 of them, in fact, for blackjack and baccarat. The search will not be contained to dealers. They also will be looking for pit managers and floor supervisors.
as for the new slots, patrons were already enjoying them at Coconut Creek. “These new machines are awesome. It is nice to sit and play a slot machine without feeling like I am playing bingo,” said Ralph Notaro, a slot player who spends three to five days a week at the Creek casino.
